Contour Shawl

Sale price$7.99

Sometimes simple is best to allow the yarn to really shine. This easy to work and quick to grow shawl works perfectly with those tricky to crochet variegated skeins, with the bold lines drawing the colour splashes along. Contour is a generous asymmetric shawl with a bold graphic look and beautiful drape.

Favourite Pattern EVER!
Best Pattern EVER!

This has to be my favourite thing I've ever made, not just in crochet! The pattern, as always with The Crochet Project, is very clearly written. The shawl itself has such an interesting stitch pattern and I often find myself just running my hand over the wonderful texture. I'll definitely make another!

Favourite shawl!

This is my favourite shawl pattern ever. It is so meditative - simple but with interest and I love the asymetric tick shape. Works up quickly and perfect for showcasing many different yarns. Chic and beautiful.

A lovely, wearable, versatile pattern

I've made a few Contour shawls - one with wool that was hand-spun by my mum, one with 4 ply and one with Icelandic unspun Plotulopi yarn. It's a beautiful pattern that works with any weight of yarn (just make sure you use the right hook! Because the pattern works equally as well with plain yarn as it does with variegated it's SUCH a versatile pattern. My Plotulopi shawl is made in stripes of colour that reflect the colours of the Icelandic landscape in spring and it's 8 feet long so it's basically a blanket!
